“ Breakfast burritos were solid. The chorizo in particular was very good and a good value as well. The carne asada in a breakfast burrito wasn't my favorite but I would go back for the chorizo. ”

“ THREE WORDS: REAL. CALIFORNIA. BURRITO!!! If you've ever lived or visited SoCal for any length of time, you know what a life-changing experience a real CA burrito is. And if you live here in Denver, you know how hard that is to find. But your long and probably (if you're reading this review) disappointing search is finally over! The big daddy CA burrito hits all the marks: 1) FRIES in the burrito 2) small nuggets of carne asada that is crunchy chewy crumbly without being dry 3) guac and sour cream 4) if you get the "big daddy" version, it is as big as your arm and as thick too! 5) no gross other stuff (I'm looking at *you*, green chile sauce on everything, ick) They also have breakfast burritos, which are of similar legendary greatness. And (per their pictures) on Saturdays, they have a buy 2, get 1 free CA burrito special in case you and your similarly fiending friends want to go. Also, it currently has a 97 health safety rating. I mean, even most of the hole-in-the-wall actual San Diego burrito joints couldn't do that! Go, my friend, and live your best burrito life! ”

“ Obviously, it's hard to judge a spot on the basis of a single visit, but my first time in Big Daddy's will definitely not be the last. My recommendation is to come hungry and be prepared to leave loaded down with leftovers, because you may get a tremendous amount of food. I ordered the Big Daddy Burrito, filled with eggs, potatoes, and bacon, and smothered with the house green chile. I'm not gonna lie. I've gotten outside of more than a few burritos in my day, and this one defeated me. Imagine trying to eat two burritos from Chipotle, or two footlongs from Subway. I had to eat a third of it just so it would fit in the take home box. The restaurant itself is very clean and has a pleasant informal atmosphere. The lady at the counter was really nice and friendly. I don't often give five stars, especially right off the bat, but this place gets all five, and they're well deserved. ”
